Caribanime follows a group of Caribbean kids whose sense of adventure leads them beyond the familiar. During a school outing, they stray off course and uncover something ancient—an object they don’t fully understand, but can’t resist exploring.
One moment of curiosity.
One gateway opens.
They are pulled into another realm.
The World of Caribanime
The kids awaken in Caribanime—a living realm shaped by story, memory, and spirit energy. Here, folklore breathes, landscapes respond, and unseen forces move just beyond sight. Forests whisper, and oceans shimmer with hidden presence.
This is not a world of simple good or evil, but one defined by balance, trickery, wisdom, and consequence.
At its center lies Caribanime—a vibrant crossroads where spirits gather, music drifts through glowing streets, and old stories meet new ones. It is here that the kids encounter Anansi, the trickster, who reveals a deeper truth: they have entered a world shaped by memory and myth.
But even in a place filled with light, not everything is as it seems.
Adventure Has Consequences
To return home, the kids must journey across the regions of Caribanime—through jungles watched by ancient guardians, along coastlines where the veil between worlds thins, and across landscapes alive with growth and power.
Along the way, they learn that curiosity without care can change more than their own lives.
Opening a gateway is easy.
Closing one is not.
When something comes in, something must go out.
What Caribanime Explores
Caribanime is a culturally inspired story universe that blends Caribbean folklore reimagined through adventure with elements of humor, mystery, and wonder. At its heart, it explores friendship tested by consequence within a spirit realm that reflects and reshapes the real world. It is ultimately a story about curiosity, accountability, and the power of stories—especially when they come to life.
A Living Story Universe
Caribanime extends beyond a single journey. While the kids introduce the world, many stories unfold within it. Across Caribanime, spirits—known as Jumbies—live, interact, and shape the realm through their rivalries, friendships, and histories. These stories explore daily life within the spirit world, encounters along the Veil Coast, guardians and ancient beings of the Whisperwild, and rising forces within the Bloomfire Highlands. Some stories are playful, while others are mysterious, but each contributes to a living, evolving world where every character and place carries meaning. Together, they expand Caribanime into a story ecosystem designed to grow across multiple narratives, formats, and audiences.
Stories Beyond the Portal
The broader mythology, characters, and regions of this universe continue to unfold through the Caribanime Storyboard and ongoing visual development. This is not just a single story—it is a world in motion, where strength finds purpose.
